FAQ

Clear answers for buying, selling, payouts, and safer downloads.

SkillForge is built for useful agent skills, but agent files can be powerful. These answers explain how the marketplace works and where buyers should still use care.

Are skills guaranteed safe?

No marketplace can guarantee that. SkillForge blocks obvious high-risk uploads, scans new files, and reviews listings before approval. Buyers should still inspect anything they run.

What does SkillForge block during upload?

The scanner blocks executable installers, batch or PowerShell scripts, encrypted ZIP files, unsafe archive paths, and suspicious credential, persistence, deletion, or remote-execution patterns.

How do buyers receive a skill?

After a free claim or paid checkout, the skill appears in the buyer dashboard with a direct download button and an install prompt they can copy into their assistant.

How do sellers get paid?

Sellers connect Stripe. Future paid sales send the seller share directly to their Stripe Express account, while SkillForge keeps the 15 percent platform fee.

Can admins remove a bad listing?

Yes. Admins can remove live listings from the marketplace while preserving access for previous buyers, support notes, sales history, and the audit trail.

Can skills be free?

Yes. Free skills can be listed, reviewed, claimed, and downloaded without commission.

Are there monthly fees?

No. SkillForge is commission-based for sellers. There is no listing subscription built into the marketplace.

What should buyers do before running a skill?

Check what the downloaded files ask your agent to do, avoid sharing private keys or passwords, and only run skills from creators you are comfortable trusting.

Still deciding?

Browse first, then buy or list when it feels right.

Public skill pages show pricing, creator details, reviews, and a safety note before checkout.
